Memorial Day weekend is upon us and it has been a wet (to put it mildly) spring. We have spent much of May on cart paths only and jokingly referring to Cedar Creek as "Cedar Swamp". We cannot wait for warmer and sunnier days in June and look forward to seeing more people golfing as the weather improves.
A couple of things to make you aware of as we start a new month. We have implemented a member sign in sheet in the proshop that all members must sign before playing their round of golf. The purpose of this is two-fold. We need to know who is here for safety purposes. In the past, we have received phone calls from families asking to leave messages for emergency purposes and we do not have knowledge of the member even being on the course, other than the tee time in our book, because they never set foot in the proshop. This check-in sheet will help us help you. Secondly, it allows us to make sure scores are being entered into the handicapping system.
Don't forget that Buddy matches are in full swing and the first round matches must be completed by May 30. The next round will be set up the following week and posted both on the website and on the clubhouse bulletin board.
There is a two man member guest scheduled June 24 and 25. Starting at noon on Friday, they will be playing 27 holes and Saturday 18 holes starting at 2pm. Dinner will follow the golf on Saturday evening. There are a lot of other events scheduled for June, make sure you sign up early to ensure your spot in these events. The calendar is under the events tab on the webside and will have the registration forms for many of these events.
Don't forget to tell your friends and family about Cedar Creek and make sure they sign up for our e-specials on our website at cedarcreekgc.com. Just for signing up they will receive a free round of golf on their birthday or their "half birthday" if it happens to fall in the winter months. There are many specials we will be offering through the website and they will be updated and changed frequently so make sure you check them out!

A lot of things happening at Cedar Creek, though thanks to the weather it doesn't seem to be golf. However, we are geared up and ready to go! The proshop has all kinds of new golf clubs, balls, golf bags, and clothes, so come check out the new golf gear! We have posted sign ups for Buddy Matches, Match Play, Couples League, Kick Off Scramble, and Senior League in the proshop's lower level. Also, as you may have noticed, we have over the winter changed the website. Now you can sign up for any of those events online through the website under the Member Info link and Member Events.
