Tony's Golf Tip of the Week
July 5th 2008 - Do you have trouble hitting Fat or Thin Pitch Shots? The setup is vital for you to hit your pitch shots solid, and for the ball to travel the right distances. Your clubface and body alignment need to be open, while the ball should be in the middle of your stance. Make sure your weight is on your left side, and that during the swing your legs stay quiet. Your legs should move only with the momentum of the swing.

The Cedar Creek A team was led by four 73's. That's right Richards, Meehan, Bair, and Schmucker all shot 73. Mark Childs had an 80. The drama came on the last hole as Mike Bair rolled in a 25 footer for eagle to edge out Coyote Crossing aka the elks by a shot. The Creek's B team had four score under 80 to shoot a very respectable 310 for another top 10 out of 22 team finish. We were led by Chuck Laturner's 76, Mike Davis 77, Cole Kellerman 78 and Paul Newberg 79. Matt Smith rounded out the team with a 81. That's a 3-peat and we will be looking for number next year.
