The other two divisions will be the men's teams split into two flights with the low 50% of the field in the low flight and the high 50% in the higher flight. We will have three tournaments in one. This event is for eveyone.
The entry fee is $240 per team with $120 of the entry going directly to the memorial fund. We will have lots of great food and beverage included in your entry fee.
Along with the golf we are planning on many other activities throughout the day. Card games, corn hole games, putting contest, long drive competitions and much more. We are looking for a DJ so if you know of anyone who would like to donate their time to the cause have them give us a call.
We are looking for donated prizes for auctions and prizes, so anything we as a membership can do will help us in this fundraising cause. See Dave if you have anything you can donate to the cause.
The tournament will be limited to the first 36 teans entered. Entries available at the golf shop or on-line by clicking on the events button at the top of the page and opening up the November calendar and filling out the registration form.

October 4th 2008 - There are two major flaws of the lower body in the backswing. The first of the two is a lateral sway of the hips moving to the right. This restricts the body from allowing the weight to go to the instep of the right foot. If the lower body is moving to the right the upper body will counter balance itself and keep weight to the left side.
The second flaw is over-rotation of the lower body or hips. When you start to turn your belt buckle to the right of the right toes then you have generally turned too far. This makes it difficult to load the weight properly to the right leg. Notice whether or not you are straightening your right leg as you make a backswing, because it can allow for too much rotation in the hips.
The term weight shift can be very misleading. The action that occurs is actually a weight transfer. Weight will transfer from the middle of the body to the instep of the right leg.
If you want to create the weight transfer you can get a chair and place it next to your right leg. Try to keep your belt buckle in front of you as you turn your shoulders. About 75 percent of your body weight should be to the instep of the right foot. By keeping your lower body still you can increase you weight transfer by turning or rotating you shoulders about 90 degrees.

Gerald Dietrich 39 of Huntertown & Fremont died Saturday from injuries he sustained in a mowing accident Wednesday at Cedar Creek Golf Club. Jerry had been working at Cedar Creek since March of this year. Jerry was a hard worker and loved being outdoors hunting, fishing, woodworking and working on the golf course. Jerry was a US Army veteran and also managed the Izaak Walton League. We will miss our friend and co-worker. Our deepest sympathy and prayers go out to his family.
Many of you have asked about donating and helping in any way possible. Thank you for you support and kindness. At this time we are planning a fundraising day on Sunday November 2nd. Details for this event are pending. Please keep that date available on your schedule.
Arrangements for Jerry are as follows: Calling: Wednesday 5pm-8pm at the Beam Funeral Home in Fremont. The funeral is scheduled for 11am at the Clear Lake Baptist Church on the north side of Clear Lake.
I would like to thank the Cedar Creek Members & Staff who worked so hard to save Jerry's life last Wednesday. You know who you are, and you are my hero's. I know the family takes solace in knowing that Jerry was not alone in his struggle for life. I would also like to thank Dr. Gary Davis and Dr. Mark Fisher who were on site trying to save Jerry. They have helped us all in the aftermath of this tragedy. The volunteer firemen and EMT's who were on site and worked so hard over Jerry. All of the Allen County Police Officers including Sherriff Fries and especially Kenny Litzenberg whose respone was so fast and overwhelming. Thank you all.

September 29th 2008 - The Women have defended their "Bub Meeks Memorial" Couples Cup with an 11 -11 tie. The tie keeps the cup dressed like a women for the next year. A gallant effort by the men was not to be when Marilyn Dunbar made a nice put to putt on the last hole to keep the tie in place, thus holding the cup for the women. What a great day for the women. The 2009 Early Bird Membership prices have been set and are now on sale. We have kept membership pricing the same as 2008 with a few exceptions. In 2009 we are offering a reduced golf membership that does not include cart rental. This membership $800 is targeted to the golfer who walks a little from time to time. It is a great deal for the player who will play 40 rounds or less during a golf season, even riding most of those rounds will still save you money over an all inclusive membership. We will offer the same package for $600 for the weekday only golfer. This type of membership is not for eveyone, but it works out well for the player who wants the membership benefits without having to play 40 plus rounds to make it cost efffective. This membership will not have a payment plan option, pricing will hold until November 1st.
The all inclusive membership is still the best golfing deal for the majority of our players at Cedar Creek. This membership will remain the same for 2009 and is offerd in a payment plan through the Winter months. You must pay 50% down by Nov. 1st and break the remaining balance into 4 equal payments on 1-1-09, 2-1-09, 3-1-09, 4-1-09. Prices are on the menu section of the web page.
Any referals by Cedar Creek Members for new members will credit your accounts by $50. Make sure your referals tell us at the time they sign up that you referred them to Cedar Creek.
